‘Beautiful Jinn’ to premier in both Iran, Turkey: Producer

Iranian film ‘Beautiful Jinn’ will premiere in Iran and Turkey at the same time, producer of the film says.

The comedy drama ‘Beautiful Jinn’ will be released in both neighboring countries in late July, Iranian producer, Mehrdad Farid, said of his film.

The movie is in its final phases of production, he noted.

“There will be no difference between the copy that will be screened in Turkey and that of Iran,” he highlighted.

Starring Turkish actress Nurgul Yesilçay, who is known in Iran for her role in the acclaimed TV series ‘The Magnificent Century’, the movie is co-produced between agents in Iran and Turkey.

The film was previously set to premier at the upcoming Fajr Film Festival in Iran this year; however, since the film is in its final production phase, it will not be ready to screen at the popular Iranian film festival.

‘Beautiful Jinn’ is a social drama with comic traits. Yesilcay plays the role of a character named ‘Delaram’, who is deaf and dumb due to some past trauma.

Yesilcay, who plays the leading role, will star alongside celebrated Iranian actor Farhad Aslani.
